How Does Dengue Spread?

Dengue is not spread from person to person but through the bite of an infected mosquito, particularly Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus species. These mosquitoes are most active during the daytime, especially in the early morning and late afternoon. You can become infected with dengue if:
✅ You are bitten by a mosquito that has previously bitten an infected person
✅ You travel to or live in an area with high dengue transmission
